Oak Island Water Rescue, Inc. is a 100% volunteer, non-profit, tax-deductible 501c(3) water rescue organization based in Oak Island, NC that provides water rescue and other emergency services to the town, residents, and visitors of Oak Island. We are partially funded by the Town of Oak Island, Brunswick County, and through the kindness expressed in donations from individuals and charitable organizations.

The funding the town and county provide covers part of our operating expenses, and we are regularly required to spend 100% of those funds to pay for insurance, fuel, repairs to trucks and boats, maintain our station, etc. For larger purchases, such as vehicles, boats, and tools, we are dependent on donations from charitable organizations and individuals like yourself. To improve safety, increase our level of service, and provide the absolute best water rescue services, we have recently purchased a new (to us at least) truck, a drone, and provided training and drone pilot certification to some of our team members.
